the top left side of the dome's outline seems to dip in a bit too much, and I it looks good other than that though I assume you're gonna add more color to the buildings right?

I just thought of an idea but I'm not sure if I'm good enough to complete it in time...

The whole dome doesn't really look right, it seems more like a gateway. It mainly looks like that because the base of the dome is too high compared to the city and it seems like it's close to santa which make's it not look very big. You should make it so that santa's going through some portal to get to the city. The buildings aren't correct perspective wise but it'd probably take too long to fix them and we wouldn't want you miss the deadline. Santa and the reindeers look good aswell as the colour.

I mean how do I actually get my entry to look like like it's in space. Really, how? If you got any tips, post them.

I think a dark blue background, with some nebula should do the trick.
With the blue overlay I meant so that its clear that they are inside the dome...

Don't make it completely black but try and make it kind of like this except that's probably a bit too bright. There's really not much else you can do.

Finally finished. Although the background seems pretty mediocre. This is as close as In can get in drawing space. Here's my official collab entry. The theme is based on 2209. So the earth is destroyed by us, or pollution and other things. So us humans decided to occupy mars. The humans eventually made a colony there. So here's Christmas, in Mars...

There's still a solar mass (in this case it's still the sun), so as long as there are objects to cast shadows, there will be shadows.

Yes but I wouldn't imagine there would be anything big enough, or long enough for the shadows to be cast upon they'd just keep going.
