Views on cannibalism.

I personally believe that cannibalism should be infact the preferable way of dispatching dead bodies and serving it to other people. Why? There is no Diseases if prepared right, I heard it taste like pork, many tribes do it, the only reason we don't do it is because of the funeral black market and their scamming ways. Of course this will put out the funeral home business and they will lobby for a ban on this. I don't see anything wrong with cannibalism. Sure it might be gross but we need it.

I think it was David Cross who was talking about how it was weird that humans have this obsession about what people should do with their bodies after they die.
And he just goes "fuck it, I hope they donate my body to necrophiliacs. I'll be dead, I won't care, it's better if someone gets enjoyment out of it!".

I guess once you're dead, you become the property of your relatives or something like that.

Personally I will put my head in a jar :D Probably won't work but whatever.

Well, like said by xKore, respect for the dead i an ancient virtue. I know that if my child were ever to have an accident, I wouldn't want to have some random dude use her/him as a sex doll even though he/she can't feel anything of it anymore. Also when it comes to eat people, I won't eat other people and especially won't eat people I know.

The fact where there is supposed to be a funeral-lobby is pure conspiracy theory. There's far more to it then some grave workers making money. Dead people are, I assume, not such a big bussiness. It would be equivalent to claiming that paedophilia is illegal because porn industries can't employ child's as part of the child-labour abolishment. So porn lobby prevents paedophilia to be legal.

the only way to really have a good man-wich meal would be from flesh of an accident victim who didnt see it coming (considering there was no chemicals involved) you couldnt use the old for the reason that as we get older our cells dont reproduce and fix themselves as often or as well as when we are young and fit... so, that meat would be rather crappy. and i dont think i would want to eat the flesh of a cancer victim, for one i wouldnt want to choke on the hard cancerous growth let alone know that the flesh was tainted while the meal was still alive being that my human flesh is consuming anothers human flesh.

looking at the numbers i dont think there would be enough free range human to go around...

you could also look at it this way... would you like to have a funeral of your choosing (traditional, viking, naval) or a luau you are the guest of honor at... but someone still needs to shell out 500+ to hire the human BBQ experts to spin your charred remains thats hanging from a pole shoved through your body anus to mouth... not exactly how i want to be remembered... just think about it... gray shreds of man-ham dished out on paper plates getting all soggy from three differant types of BBQ sauce and your aunts runny potato salad. i will take the viking funeral thank you very much!

all in all i would rather eat the thousands of other tasty species of this planet other than the dead and soon to be dead

I'm sorry but we should only eat dead people whom don't any form of disease and haven't been killed by such. In fact about 1 percent of the corpses can be consumed, and thats being nice. I'm sorry I haven't though this out yet.

Okay... Obvious moral/ethical issues aside, let's look at this logically. Here's why it wouldn't work.

Most people die from disease or accidents. If an accident happens to have chemicals involved, the body's probably no good. If he body is mangled from car crash for example, it's probably no good. Diseases? No good.

The thing is, all meat that humans consume has been specially slaughtered in 'humane' ways so that it is safe to eat. Human's aren't killed with the intention of becoming food, we don't go to slaughterhouses to die. Animals do, and only if they're healthy.

Simply put: Humans aren't meant to be eaten by Humans. Not in this society, anyway.

I don't think you can get AIDs from eating a corpse, unless maybe its fresh. The HIV virus needs a warm body to stay alive, and it doesn't last long outside of the human body (despite what mommy tells you about sitting on public toilets or swimming in public pools). So unless you are gorging on a corpse that just died I doubt that there would be any real chance to get infected by HIV.

I could be wrong on this, so if you want to show me evidence otherwise go ahead.

Having said that, if you were to eat an HIV-positive person soon after kiling them, chances are the virus is still going to be active. So while the odds are pretty remote in the scenarios mentioned before, why even consider taking the risk?

It would not put the funeral homes out of buisiness because most people do not want to eat grandma. Also what if the person died of heavy metal poisoning or the like?
