We'll be passing it back and forth until its got some length.

Oh, Okay cool. I never thought it could be done that way. Good thinking.

Someone just said "Jazz" ?
I can sniff that word from miles.

In about four weeks I'll be back in Montreal with access to my keyboard, so I can record uber-easy and therefore can jam more often. So yes, I'm down for anything and everything including jazz.

I'll be checking to see what other material put in
if its anything I like I'll add to it.

hmm. i'm sorry, but do you mind if i add electronic drums to this? not for the jam session, just something to experiment with. reminds me of an akira yamaoka song, heh.

i'm down for recording guitar over it, though.

EP2 out now! Download it for free :).

Here, sniff some rhythm. I have a few more if you don't like this one. It's 4/4 simple, the chords are a little weird though. it goes like this -
~4/4 || Gm7 | Cm7 | F79 | Bb13 |
|| Eb7 | D79| G | G13 :||

Have fun!

Normal, easy, comfortable Blues. Not a lot of thought into this one. It's in B pentatonic. Just looking for it to happen, there are not enough people here!

Blues in B.

So this whole thing clearly excludes electronic artsists. While I think this would be fun to join, I think it would be cool if electronic artists could jam together in this.

However, as your main rules make it clear that it is not for us, I'll see you later.

If I stated in any way that electronic musicians aren't welcomed here, I'm sorry. Come on, tag right along! And besides, I remember Vegetarian-Wolf did a rhythm here, and I'm almost certain his music is computer-generated.

Man, nothing excludes you. Shut up and jam! Music, regardless of orgin, is always welcome here!

If its not excluding electronic artists, then drum machines wouldn't matter.
I hold to my case.

I made that rule, because I find offensive to Drummers that they are replace with a MACHINE - aka an effect pedal, or a drum machine. If someone - human - creates a drum sound, actually plays the drums - no difference. As long as the recording (or computer-made) music had a human behind it.

Come on, man. It's not a fight around here. Let us hear your music!

Bump. I have a new Internet Radio Show, it could be the NGJSP lounge. Guests can chat there, so you don't even have to have an account there. TheCoreMan's radio show!

Me thinks that people should jam on this. It's really really easy. It's in B Pentatonic, or G# Major Pentatonic if you want.

Bump.

Please do a part, I'm losing my mind.

Sadly I don't have easy access to recording my piano until September, then this e-jamming will be a breeze for me. I'm working on a backing track for Black Orpheus which should be pretty cool.

I always figured you were a singer, mate.

But the guitar was out of tune.

OK this kinda sounds like fun.
I gave it a try.
Its not my best work or anything. I just plugged up and started playing. Like you do in a jam session lol

Not that much, it's mainly for that raw old blues sound. And did you make that jam with LaForge yet?

Sounds cool, hopefully someone who knows how to play metal will jam on that. Recording quality wasn't that good though, here's a tip for next time - balance. Make sure that you are not clipping. If you are recording using a MP3 or a low quality mic, place it far away from your amp.

I'll get some vocals on these songs, don't you worry! haha

Oh, and by the way, I plugged this thread in my front page news post: http://tingtonger.newgrounds.com/news/po st/360694

Hopefully that'll attract some musicians!

Good thinking man, did it myself.

P.S. - My band's recordings are up, what do you think?

This is a really awsome idea. I were notified by tingtonger to check this out and Im glad I did, because it is really uplifting to see people work together like this. It is what the interwebs is all about people. Good for you. However Im afraid Im going to have to let you down. I don't own any recording gear, and that makes it pretty damn hard to record anything :(

Here are a few ideas for ya, you can get a soundcard that supports recording, or maybe recording using you MP3 Player/Cellphone. It will sound shitty, but it's a start.

I'm not either. In my opinion, the best way to start recording is to buy a pack. If you got money (not that much), I strongly recommend the PodCastudio.
