Anyone remember Stephen Gammell? He did the illustrations for the Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark books by Alvin Schwartz. I think that's the direction I'm headed in for this piece. I'm thinking of using charcoal and sealing it w/ hairspray. Would that work?

Gammell, the creepiest illustrator ever:

If you have an address change go ahead and send it to the sbt gmail. It should be fine. The people who get username changes are a bigger pain to deal with.

This is a strange question... would it be fucked up to not send sketchbook tour entries to mexico?

I originally totally dismissed the idea but is it really that rediculous?

Hmm its a tough decision. Maybe its better to be safe than sorry, you know? Like,it is harsh on the people that are in mexico awaiting their paper but theyd have to understand.

I think it would be find if you did.

But I think, for all the Mexicans who miss out. Should get some credit. Or a guaranteed spot in next years.

I read somewere that they stopped changing names so often unless you have a fantastical good reason to change it, so i just created a new User as painful as that was to do.......

Here's something nice and ironic. I got home from university yesterday and I was explaining the sketchbook tour to my parents and about how I made it in and all. I also just found out that my sister is kicking ass in art class with a 97 (top of the class) and her teacher has asked her to help paint a mural at school. My sister goes to an arts school, but for dance, not visual arts, so I find it very impressive what she's come up with and also ironic at finding out about it shortly after I found out I made it into the tour.

Got my paper yesterday and I'm already almost done. It's nothing too fancy, just a Grecian Goddess kind of pin up girl... It doesn't look very cartoony besides the face (I suck at faces, feet, and hands)

Patience... I live in Finland, so it's ought to take long for it to reach me, meaning I have to get it done ASAFP so I can resend it on time.

where can i find the roster sheet? I'm gonna start drawing sketches right now so i can draw it quickly cause i probably won't have much time left. And also, why does it take so much time to post to Mexico?

Can't wait to get the paper..

Also..

It's your call Luis.. If you think it would be a good idea not to send the papers to Mexico, don't do it, if you do send them to Mexico wear gloves and a mask and spray it with decontamination spray.
