You can't get Photoshop for free, but Gimp you can. It does pretty much the same thing.

I'm not sure if you can get photoshop for free, but just use Paint .net, It's just like photoshop but a lot easier to use. I use it for a lot of my picture edits. Here's the link if you want to download it: http://www.getpaint.net/
BTW, When I said "Photoshop" Barney, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to use photoshop.
