Nostalgia is about all it has going for it. I was going to use it as a sequencer for a computer-free setup, but that was a silly idea. I'm not a big fan of the data entry method at all.
It also uses the JV sound engine, if you're into that kind of thing. You can build some nice complex sounds with it, and it would make for a decent polyphonic multi-timbal sound module, but it doesn't do anything you can't do with a half decent VST and a folder full of good drum samples.
It's great for writing banging psy-trance or acid, and it's got a few cool live performance features, but if you're a predominantly PC based musician, it probably isn't for you.

Plus, in America, we don't use plastic money, so I have no idea how much that amount is, lol.
Canada's going for plastic? Huh, I wonder what the design will be like.
i'd buy your mc-505 jarrydn, if it was a yamaha shs-10

1,000 listens
Sup audiodudes, one of my songs recently just got 1,000 listens when I was away for a few days. Does anybody know how this could've happened? I'm glad about it, ofcourse, but wondering how that was possible.

it's not a phase, THIS IS WHO I AM!!!

It got frontpaged.

Yeah that's who I was for about 6 months.
Then I realised that a two-op FM non-programmable keytar with toy-action keys was not worth $200+, unless you are a hipster.

Wicked, thanks mate.

Speakin' of which, The June NAC was very nice.

Ah. Yea it did seem relic-esque. Still cool but it wouldn't justify for me buying it.

Romania have plastic money for quite a while. It's better if you forget some money in your pocket and wash your pants, you'll not destroy the money.
So, to put it shortly, plastic money it's easier and safer to wash :)

I dunno what the texture of them will bel ike precisely, but I imagine they won't get so creased and folded. My wallet always makes them have a weird shape thats hard to stack neatly.
Plastic money? As in polymer banknotes and coins? I didn't know that existed even
Plastic money also doesn't collect nearly as many microbes because there are less microscopic crevices for them to live in. That, and you can wash it too, so it doesn't need to be a bacteria hive.
Stand up comedian
I just went to one. And he was brilliant.
Really, there are lots of Dutch comedians out there, but this one.. he's different.
It's such a shame (most of) you guys don't understand Dutch, because you're missing out.
So yeah, i had an awesome night.
For those of you who do understand Dutch, his name is Ronald Goedemondt.

Dutch Dutch or Belgian Dutch? I assume the first kind, seeing I don't know him.

Dutch Dutch indeed :p
Here's an example.

it's cool man i was kidding. but I am a supermassive hipster!
I kinda want it as a really goofy MIDI controller for live stuff and maaaaaaaybe for bending if I feel brave, but then there's probably a bunch of other stuff I should get before that (new interface would probably help lol). I'd rather use my cz-101 but it won't register Bb or B on any octave for some reason.
some reason probably being the water damage it sustained before it was given to me a couple years ago lol
if you're Jesus and you know it

That was dark, considering the picture, lol.

Hmmm, I'll trade you for my cz-1000. It has a busted LCD and enjoys re-writing it's patch memory with random garbage.

The cz-101 doesn't use a wiring loom in the keybed does it? Probably a CPU issue rofl. Does it respond in a similar fashion to midi input?
still sad newgrounds removed the 'gold, platinum and 2xplatinum' icons.

In other news, I like butter biscuit basses.

Samplepacks
So, I've had this condenser mic for ages and never really used it for anything until yesterday when I decided to record some weird, random percs and weird fx stuff which gave me the idea of making a sample pack. So far, I have about 20 samples or so that I've recorded along with some synth effects I'm making too. Only thing is, I'm not sure if I'm doing everything right since it's the first time I've done something like this. They're all wav. files which have been normalized but is there anything else I should be worrying about like the wav. depth?
Anyways, it should be done fairly soon. It's hard trying to find random objects that have a unique sound which I can record, lol.
Samplepacks
If you're just making small packs for yourself and a few people then 16bit is fine, tbh!
CZ-1000
My CZ-101 re-writes patch memory too, and inits with everything on 99. When you try and change to the second bank of patches it just goes back to the first bank again. Pretty sure it won't let you program DCV 2 or DCA 1 1. It has a big blue wire loom inside like an IDE cable but I haven't really poked around properly (not that I know what to look for).
Basically, it's fucked! :<
I haven't tested MIDI input though cause power adapter socket is kaput and 6 D batteries is a pain, but I imagine it'd be the same.
Sounds like a good candidate for circuit bending :)
I'd circuit bend mine, but I have sentimental attachment to it. 'twas my first synthesizer. Got it for my 11th birthday.
Interesting choice on the behalf of my father...it was older than I was, and I dont know many 11 year old kids that understand the PD architecture and 8 point envelopes.
I didn't :3
