those people were from stickam. Their reasoning was retarded. They saw that I made a NEW irc room for newgroudns and took it as a threat to the stickam room - I went into the stickam room and they branded me a traitor and kicked me. They then proceeded to flood the irc room. I could have banned them all - but that would have caused a schism between irc and stickam, and I really don't want that developing. So I did what you're supposed to do with trolls - I ignored them until they were bored and went away. Looking back I don't see how there was any other way to deal with them.

They never came back, and the room resumed its normal conversation - you just came back at a bad time.

A chat room is not about quantity, it about the quality of the people in it. That room turned into a toilet within 2 minutes of me entering because you baited all of them in some weird attempt to get your room more popularity. Its like inviting a bunch of shit for brains frat guys to your house party so you look cool. There is no way i would frequent a chat room like that.

All their bitching and complaining will simply get the attention of mods and if you dont respond at all to them the mods will see that they are trolling and they will either have their posts deleted, they will get a warning or a ban.

dude the only reason I posted in the stickam thread is because giantdouche retaliataory banned me for what he felt was an unfair kick on my part in the irc room. I explained myself - there was no ulterior motive behind it - I just wanted to explain why it happened.

There is responding to general nobody threads using bans and there is also looking ahead and eralizing if you ban all the users in a stickam room they are only going to take it as fuel and make alts and just spam the living crap out of the room after that. It's about keeping relations good - not causing enmity. If you don't like the way I run it that's fine. However I have run all the irc rooms for many years now and I liek to think I have fair judgement when it comes to knowing what to do. Their raid lasted like 2 minutes tops. Big whoop.

last time they were talking about it AT LEAST a year before the redesign happened (probably more but I don't know since that would be before I signed up). But I don't know, they have a bigger staff now so they may do it faster this time around.
