For those who haven't noticed we can now assign moderators to the NG forums to help keep an eye on things. Mainly we want to cut back on SPAM, HATE, and OBSCENE postings. We want to raise the level of maturity on our forums to some level of intelligent conversation, rather than "STFU!" and images of old men spreading open their rectum! :) Here is a rough draft of guidelines I am working on. I'd like everyone's input on these guidelines and how would could better phrase them, or if more rules are needed:
Newgrounds.com Forum Guidelines:
Criteria for POST and or TOPIC removal:
1. SPAM - Body of text contains no relevant thought and is a waste of space.
2. FLOODING - Posting a similar topic or reply more than once.
3. INSULTS - Body of text is overly insulting to another user.
4. HATEFUL - Body of text contains hateful or racial remarks against another user.
5. ADVERTISING - Body of text contains advertisements for services with monetary benefits for the author.
Criteria for IMAGE removal:
1. OBSCENE - Image is overly obscene and offensive.
2. PORNOGRAPHIC - Image is overly pornographic, or contains child pornography.
3. PRIVATE - Images of other users that are posted without the users consent.
Criteria for being BANNED:
Users maybe banned for the first offense of the above guidelines depending on the
severity, or banned after multiple offenses of less sever guideline violations.
Users who are banned must wait for their ban to be over before attempting to post
to the forums. Users who post from an alternate username to evade our set ban will have
their user account, and any other accounts associated with their account, terminated.
Most bans will be set for 3 days but they maybe set longer depending on the severity
of the violation, or if it is a repeat banning.
