The day before the election is was still a bit of a toss-up who would win. Yesterday it was a toss-up which of you would make it to SC first. Beyond that there's no comparison. Once Bush won, Kerry couldn't become president too.
It's more like congratulating a marathon running 10 yards from the finish line. You know they are going to find a way to get across it, but you might not be able to get down there to congratulate them after they make it.
