I'm not quite sure where this belongs (the topic that is), but somehow I keep getting a virus/Trojan whenever I visit Newgrounds.
"Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\2RDZWUS4\old[1].htm is HTML.MHTMLRedir.exploit trojan."
Is what it keeps saying.
Can anyone help me?
Ack! I also forgot to add and I'm rather new to the forums. I've searched and searched, but couldn't find anything about it.
Please forgive me if there is another topic about it or there is a certain precedure for uhh... Saying this...?

I haven't gotten anything, but a bunch of other people have.
We also haven't heard from Tom, Wade, or liljim in a few days, there are HUGE banner ads on portal movie pages, people (including me) keep getting fake mod invites, and now these viruses you speak of.
I think something's up.

I had gotten a virus with 200 different spyware files in it.
Fuck, I was pissed. something is up.
My Anti-Virus program was just updated last week. I'm also checking it with ad-ware as we speak.

If you've got a pop-up blocker, you might want to try turning that on while you browse the site. Some of those spyware/adware files might be coming from some of the outside pop-up ads. Don't worry. It won't affect your ability to view the Flash movies.

Now that you mention it.... I as well recieved one last night and didnt think anything of it. But now that I realize that ill I did was browse Newgrounds last night, it is highly odd!

I have a firewall, it prevents me from making games and joining them on C&C Generals:Zero Hour....IT SUCKS....it is helpfull though, havent got any viruses in years. BUT I STILL CANT MAKE SERVERS!! *weeps pitifully*
it does for a lot of games. warcraft 3, lotr, c&c the list goes on.

CoolWebSite or something like that IS full to the shit-emoticons of spyware and I am not exaggerating one bit, believe me.
I wasn't sure if that pop-up was on Newgrounds or not but I remember seeing it and it came up full of spyware.
I use google tool-bar, Ad-aware SE 1.04, Spybot search and destroy, default MS firewall and AVG and I got it.
Also - I have to scan with Ad-Aware SE about 6 times a day just to get rid of all the data miners from Newgrounds pop-ups from the mainpage.

somthing is up, i no there is. oh, dont use wild tanget games such as blackhawk striker. it gave my computer 63 spy files!
