A Nostalagic Review ;)

wow i can't believe i reviewed this piece not far removed from TWO years ago. Time sure rolls about super fast. This is one of (if not THEE) the first classical pieces on NG that I really loved- I checked out my earlier review, still agree with all my 10/10 notions. Great points include the seamless yet very complex and explosive movement of the strings, great modal changes to produce a palette of different ideas and emotions, lots of dynamic movement to bring the piece to life, and your arrangement of harps/strings/flutes is still magnificent as I once thought it was. I really like how the piece develops and contrasts between the heavier more layered sections and the part where the instruments play short solos. Beautiful work is still beautiful work :) The strings are really blendy, especially in the beginning, you need me to show how you work that stuff some time ;)

Twistedtechnology responds:

want me to show you how to blend the strings? if thats what you meant to say then hit me up any time my friend and i will do my best to demonstrate how i do it! if you meant to learn me a think or two, again hit me up! always willing to learn a new trick XD glad you stopped by again and reviewed!! always appreciate a good review from a great artist!

You know what?

This reminds me of Jeremy Soule's score in Elder Scrolls V: Oblivion. Goes nicely. :D

Twistedtechnology responds:

Really now? Thats awesome XD I cant say i've heard the score for myself, i dont really get exposed to other peoples works. Im always too busy trying to make my own music, and also spending time at work and with my girlfriend. But im really glad you enjoyed this piece, and even compared it to someone who has been successful with their music!

Thanks for the review and the score!!!

advice

you what would make it better think of some anicient instruments that would be used have some precussion in the backgruond and some violins too. see how that works other thanthat it's good because i hate to say this bu it does lack something don't you think?

Twistedtechnology responds:

i would add anchient instruments if i had any >.< but yea, it does sound like its lacking a good bit of stuff, but i can only work with what i have :'(

Thanks for the advice!

good

but it doesnt stand out as memorable. its nice and relaxing, and thats likely its intention, but its lacking an element that kicks it to something higher than mediocre.

Twistedtechnology responds:

lol i guess thats fair enough, but what do you think is missing that could possibly give it that extra boost? I cant know unless people tell me XD

thanks for the review though!
