"my story's end..."
date: November 22, 2008
(read my review on (1) this froxen land and (2) a world at war first for the full story)
The ground is littered with blood and metal, bodies lay motionless everywere, covering the ground. Three soldiers, blood stained and exsaughsted from battle, shar their last view of the world, a view in which they see the reason they drove forth so determined, to protect what they see now.
They see a land that they grew up in, lived their lives in, shared their memories in. Even through the destruction, they see hope, a bird tweets as it flies overhead to its nest and its family. They stand side by side, as not just comrades, but brothers. The soldier in the middle smiles, clutches his wound, and falls to the ground. The other two hoist him off the ground and onto their shoulders.
The soldiers trudge through the horror that lies before them and the picture fades out to black.
Once again, Maestro, a truly amazing piece.
I hope NG likes my story. <3
