Thank you for introducing me to so many new things, ChronoNomad! While EarthBound and the Mother series are new to me, the beauty and emotion in your work are not. You've hit the mark once again... A lovely piece in an ever growing whole. Your songs mean a lot to me. I like to think our artistic endeavors are bits of our heart and soul come to light for others to enjoy. Thank you for sharing :)

Just a little medley that I put together as an homage to one of my favourite RPGs. Mother 2 (EarthBound) is so quirky and unique, but even beyond how fun it is to play, the music is intensely memorable. It bubbles to the surface of my mind in various forms from time to time, and well--this is the result.
All the credit for the original compositions goes to Keiichi Suzuki and Hirokazu Tanaka. Throughout the game, Ness - the main protagonist - can become homesick and lose his focus at some of the most inopportune times. In short, that was the inspiration for this piece...a bittersweet blending of two tracks from the OST.

The music box section was the initial inspiration (the part that played inside my mind), and while I did briefly consider making this a single-instrument mix, I ultimately wanted this to hit a bit of an emotional crescendo before coming around again.
Awesome! That's just the right kind of loop, then. Since it's only a couple of minutes long, I'm glad that it can circle back around like a ninja before anyone is the wiser... ;) Incidentally, I've been getting swept up in this loop quite a bit myself, lately. It's just so nice and soothing.
EarthBound is definitely one of those things that you should experience at least once in life! The entire Mother series is just so good.
