Made this back in January... but realized it was never uploaded. Let me know what you think...

By the way, I did re-use the violin melody from Cold Front and just made some minor changes... It was on purpose, Ice Storm is intended to be a sequel to Cold Front.

The cold isn't over yet.

the mastering could've been better man.
the drum loop does get repetitive, i think it would be cool if you added glitches and what not to the drum loop.

this can be expanded on.

I hear ya. Sorry for the late response! (9 months later, sorry!) I just recently done away with Limiters once I realized they were destroying my mixing. I unfortunately don't do any mastering, I simply use the best settings that NG will take. Perhaps in a new piece I'll attempt something similar to this but expanded. My style tends to be pretty simplistic though, in the sense of composition.

Thank you!!

Certainly a unique sound. The grumbling bass seems very out of place and takes away from the melody and the feel of the song. The percussion in the back gets a little repetitive. Where this song shines is in it's violin. Shit can bring a tear to your eye.

Aeris responds:

Thanks for the review! I just recently received some new headphones for school and I agree - I was going for more of a distant, sort of pseudo-overtone bass. Not something quite so harsh. Glad you enjoyed the violin. :)

Thanks again!
