Amazing.
Decided to try and do a guitar cover of this song. Took me quite a while to do this one, I'm not super happy about the mix but this was mostly a fun thing to do, lots of good practice in terms of keyboards and stuff. I still have a lot to learn though when it comes to that stuff. Anyways check it out and tell me what you guys think!
Amazing.
YES!!!!
I take it you liked it? :D
It was a great cover, but the build up to the best part of the song (Near :54 to 1:09)... you would've easily sold this song to me if the guitar had the melody there once it hits.
Does what I said make sense?
I chose to add guitar after the melody because I thought it fit the dynamics of the original song better. A lot of people disagree but oh well, just playing everything on guitar sounded boring to me so I did it that way.
To me, it just sounds like the original song with just an actual metal guitar and drum set backing it, if you could make it so that the guitar has the main melody with the keyboard backing it more like that. Like around 1:30 in your version, it sounds like you did it a little bit, but I think in order for it to have a more metal feel, the metal guitar should have that main melody, it will sound so much better man. Nice job though, still a good 4.5/5 :)
Very awesome. I would have liked to heard the main melodies covered as well, and used the keyboards as backup sounds.
May i ask what your setup for this was? Very clean guitar tracks that I'm interested in.
I used a Line 6 Toneport UX1 to record my Ibanez Xiphos XPT700. Thanks for the listen :D
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
