(It's been awhile but the break was much needed, I'm glad to finally be back posting music here again)
This is my rendition of ParagonX9s' "Chaoz Fantasy".
I made this piece about 2 weeks ago. It's made completely from scratch. Hope you enjoy it!!
The vibe remained the same, but at the same time it was I hearing something new.
I like how you gave it this a 8-bit vibe which made this version fit a game much easier.
The synth that kicked in at 0:34 had too much high which made this really sharp sound that wasn't comfortable to hear. You had to do a high cut on that one.
I actually faved this remake, because I really like the music itself!
Thanks!! To me, Chaoz Fantasy always came across as a video game song to me : ) That's mainly what inspired me to use those 8-bit like sounds.
(0:34 synth) I had a hard time trying to balance it in without it being too loud or too soft. I know in a few of my earlier songs, I had important parts wind up being way too soft and not heard after the final product was finished. So, on this one I kind of took a chance with it and made it a tad louder than I normally would : / Thanks again!!
You know you're doing something right when someone else is remixes your tracks...
You did a good job capturing the melodies and movements from the original, but this version lacked some of the punch that paragon's had. Overall, I felt the mix in this was pretty thin (if that makes any sense). Almost as if everything was behind one big filter...although listening on headphones changes that slightly
The piano runs at 1:30 were awesome :) The build up starting at 1:50 was a nice touch too, but the lead came in a bit too strong. Definitely had some nice touches at the end with the improvisations on the bass synth and the way the beat dropped.
The fact that you did all of this by ear is pretty damn impressive. Maybe you could remix one of my songs sometime ;)
I figured it wouldn't be anywhere near as epic as Paragon's was. lol. Thanks a ton! :D Sure, I may be able to try remixing one of yours after New Years. For now, I'm finally trying to plan out Christmas pieces : ) Thanks again!!
