(Super Nintendo) SNES Star Fox - Corneria rewrite. I used FL Studios 9 (demo) to make this piece. Enjoy and reviews are appreciated!

Awesome!!

Rinileki14 responds:

Thanks man :)

Not bad, not bad at all.

The only real complaint I have about this is those compressor Bass drops (you are using a compressor for that, right?). They're awesome, they're cool, I'm not saying "don't use them" but for me at least, they seem to overpower the piece just a little too much, steamrolling over the awesomeness

Otherwise, it's very much awesome.

Rinileki14 responds:

I didn't use a compressor for the bass drops. I don't know what compression is "yet". I'll read into it. I'm still somewhat of a "noob" in a lot of areas when it comes to FL Studios. Thanks for reviewing.

Takes me back to Lylat Wars

Certainly a piece the evokes memories of that game from the past very well. I feel that there is much to raise a smile on my face from this, not least all of the memories of how god awful I used to be at such a game, but also for some good points:

The buildup is nicely understated, gradually building from the launch to the inevitable song of combat that accompanies this sort of game. I think that while it goes a little quiet in the middle, it certainly embodies the feeling that the game was about in the mid-90s. Perhaps though as a tune based around the original, you could shave this part, or populate it with a little more music, since it just seems too calm.

The return to the combat sounds seems fantastic and this part should dominate the piece, though with the calm in the middle, it feels as if it doesn't. For research, I'd consider the soundtrack to the original Transformers cartoon movie, as some of the work by Vince DiCola should help for synths and balance.

Neat little project

This song sounds pretty neat and the bass drops are completely nice to hear. Never played the Star Fox games yet they always looked like a good amount of fun to me. This tune makes you feel like you are flying on a ship and going out to destroy something threatening a universe or just a planet even. Very nice song.

The FL Slayer guitar has a pretty calm feel here although I probably would have adjusted it to sound a bit crunchier. The bass line here is smooth and I like how it seems to have a heart beat rhythm to it too. The piano gives a calm feeling of hope as if you were able to do so many things and beat the boss at the end too.

The drums sound great and I like how I can hear a bit of double bass at times but the deep bass kicks are great and the drums are great here. Very well done piece.

Overall, great remix of Corneria, great song.

Thanks!!

Pretty good

However, in some parts it did´nt gave the feeling of being corneria at all...
Maybe you used the wrong tune to make music from corneria.
You made that feeling in some parts, but, not wanting to be rude...
It could been better.

Rinileki14 responds:

What are you talking about? It's the SNES version of Corneria.

Thanks anyway -_- I appreciate it.
