As you may or may not know it has been almost a year since I've completed my last song, but I ain't letting that stop me in a deathmatch.

Very nice vibe

This has a feel good vibe about it, love the instruments and how you mix it all together, Now here was something that jumped out at me with style and a good vibe, you have a good track here that brings a little extra to the front, there is some slight work to be done but you still know what you want and like and thats all that really matters so keep up the good sound work its looking good sofar, cant wait to see what you decide to work on next because I will be very interested to see what you do create.

NGADM Round 1 review.

Fantastic stuff going on right here. What an introduction! You hit all the right notes with the piano, and the sub comes in at just the right moment to blend in. In fact, all of the sounds end up blending together in a dreamlike way. In fact, that's the best way to describe this song: dreamlike. It really comes as no surprise either with a title like “Surreal”. I love how you keep building the song, as it keeps the listener attentive and willing to hear more. The way you build the chip percussion is just awesome. After 3:13 the song really breaks out, though everything prior was just as enjoyable to listen to. You made a wise choice in 'closing by return' with the piano and the snappy synth, it worked wonderfully! The overall production quality was great.

While I loved the introduction, the piano is drenched in reverb. I have heard a number of trance songs that use this technique for creating an atmosphere, and while it works, it is quite generic. Too much of an atmosphere can result in emptiness, something this song seems to suffer from at times (such as after 1:50 as Step has stated). This song gradually changes and it never becomes stagnant, but it is overly repetitious (though catchy).

Great track, great production quality, and ultimately catchy. Everything you could ask for in a trance song. Well done! :)

Score: 8.25/10

Classic aliaspharow intro right there! Long decaying reverb, massive sense of space, and bright-sounding instruments. I've got to admit it works wonderfully though. After that eargasm of an intro, you successfully manage to keep up the pace by introducing new elements with a good sense of gradualness and progression, a quality that's usually important in this genre of music. You've got very tasteful effects too, like that fantastic bitcrushing! I've been a fan of bitcrushing for a while now and you showcase its capabilities very well. On a more random note, your drum fills are awesome. Great stuff.

That said, I think that your production value is as bit of a let-down from what I usually expect from you, mainly in the sections when the drums come in. The drums just don't feel as hard-hitting and airy as they usually are in your tracks. They're pretty drowned out at times. The track also feels considerably empty at parts like 1:50 onwards. That being said, the content from 4:05 onwards is melodically beautiful and sufficiently full of depth, so I can forgive you!

This is an excellent track. Some of the production had a few loose bolts, but overall, impressive work.

Score: 8/10

Very relaxed and cool. It's catchy and I like the instruments a lot. I also liked it when you added an element of energy to it at 1:51. It's sufficiently varied and progresses fast enough. Well-structured, smooth-flowing, and it seemed to really be going somewhere as a whole, especially around 4:11. The ending was a bit sudden, but overall an excellent piece. You're definitely doing everything you can to advance in this competition, which is good to see. Keep up the good work, and best of luck at NGADM! ;D

so far the only entry to the ngdam that i was able to listen to from start to finish! good luck i am rooting for you!
