Departure and Resolution

In loving memory of Netta Windle, a parish friend who died recently, but not before thanking me for the music.

This piece is a remake of Departure in the Dusk by Herty140. The piece was originally written for two reasons: one, because one of his friends was leaving Surrey; two, because my birthday was coming up and he wanted something to remember me by.

I rediscovered the piece and sat down to remaking it on FL, putting my own spin on some sections.

And with that, I wish you all a happy Advent.

Yes! :D

Very nice song, though there are a few moments when violin sounds a little artificial. On the other hand, I really loved cymbal rolls and piano :)

Troisnyx responds:

Thanks for listening! : ) And I'll admit, the violins do sometimes sound artificial (oh the joy of having a song with purely soundfonts).

Awesome song, TroisNyx. Very heartfelt.

Troisnyx responds:

Thank you!

sounds great. Whats the violin and piano plugin?

Troisnyx responds:

Both were on Fruity Soundfont Player: Violins (or predominantly violas) were from the Touhou soundfont, piano was an Akai Steinway SF.

I got the Touhou SF from my Mario Paint friends, and I'll need to ask them for the source again. As for the piano, it was in the thread with the 800+ soundfonts on the Audio Forums over here. ^_^

This is absolutely wonderful Nyx! I like the flute usage!

Troisnyx responds:

Eeeee, thanks ^_^
