Epic Adventure

I was asked to write one of those classic "Epic" pieces... you know, the ones full of I, IV, V, and sometimes that chord referred to as vi... a booming bassline... strings like honey... and, of course, unison en masse between violins and horns, the primary being up an octave. :3

This is one of those songs that sat as a WIP for a while before I took it on in earnest, and I am rather pleased how it came out. Do note that this is designed to be a game loop and is thus SHORT. I am considering making a song version for all you fellow classical nuts out there who want some meat to their music.

Feel free to share any thoughts on this piece or images it brings up... or use it in a non-commercial game! (just contact me if you want to use it commercially, okay?)

You may note a small bump at the start... that is because this piece is designed to be a completely seamless loop... that's just the reverb at the end of the LAST measure going back onto the start of the first. If you listen in a good player, you'll not even hear the transition back to the start.

EDIT: Added Contrabass for more fun/better mxi.

Dude, I come to this page every day to vote 5 on this. I have listened to it non-stop for 3 days now. I have 251 plays as of writing this review. I am using this in my upcoming game, and giving you credit of course. This is the most epic adventure theme I have ever heard. Keep up the good work.

samulis responds:

Wow, thanks man! this song still is one of my favorites. :)

What sample libraries did you use?

samulis responds:

EastWest-QuantumLeap Symphonic Orchestra Gold.

Very good one of my favourites!

samulis responds:

Thanks, it was a fun piece to work on. :)

freakin nice

samulis responds:

lol. Good to hear. :D

Either title theme or RPG overworld. Very high quality. Like Nobuo Uematsu meets Hans Zimmer.

samulis responds:

Thanks man, I really wanted to draw from both the film and the game score world in the style I chose for this.
