---- So here I am again after a long absence from Newgrounds. I've decided to return with a bang and as a result, I'm uploading a song which I believe is honestly one of my best tracks, and also the one which I worked hardest and longest on.
This track will serve 2 purposes, It will first and foremost serve as my submission to the Orchestral MAC 2012, hosted by BrokenDeck. It's a pretty large competition with some of the greatest names on Newgrounds regards Orchestral music (such as PeterSatera, Bosa, Supersteph54, samulis, etc), so I doubt I'll make it that far, but I can honestly say I gave it my all.
The song's second purpose will be as the Title track of my new album (Eye of the Dragon) which I will be uploading on my Bandcamp Account (erikscerri.bandcamp.com)
. I am uploading this Title track on Newgrounds as a preview of this album, which will be available soon.
Regards the song's production, this track is a result of 41 hours, 38 minutes of work. It is also my longest track to date, and definitely my most detailed. I spent a lot of time humanizing, desyncing, harmonizing and EQing to attain as much perfection as I could. I know quality isn't such a high factor in this MAC, but I still tried to give as much realism as I could.
Regards instruments and orchestration, I used: violins, violas, cellos, double basses, flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, french horns, trumpets, trombones, tubas, harp, piano, alto singers, bass singers, tenor singers, 2 solo singers, a range of percussions (cymbals, timpanis, godzilla hits, djembe, etc), koto, accoustic guitar, xiao, dizi, electric bass, clean electric guitar, glockenspiel and probably some others which I'm forgetting.
As for credits, I can't list all the people who helped me with this here, because I'd never finish, but I'd primarily like to thank Supersteph54 for giving me a shit-tonne of criticism and tips and Logical-Defiance for his help.
So that's it I guess. 267 Patterns, 128 Automations, 67 Play Instances, 164 Bars and 41 hours of work spread over 2 months. I sure hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed making it. Feedback is very much appreciated!
Enjoy!!!

I've been listening to you for awhile now Echo and I will tell you this.
Every song you release is a new adventure for me.
If I want to go on a mental journey to a far away place, I listen to your songs of which I have on my Ipod, in their own playlist.
Keep creating magic Echo, the world needs more people like you in it.

Wow this is awesome. i listen to alot of soundtrack pieces...two steps from hell, Denny schneidemesser and a whole lot of various other pieces. im usally down here on NG searching in a database where 1/50 is crap(sorry other users) but this is something else.
Still i dont feel it reeaches so far as other major orchesta's it does get close to them. Maybe- its because the bitrate? i do download all in at least 256kps. i dont know if thats the reason that it just sounds a bit....less, but it has a good melody and good use of instruments...maybe it could require some more drama like trompets in it.
for a job of 41 hours you made a really really fine piece of musical art, my compliments.
Thanks a lot for the feedback!

ahhhh such a relief finally after searching the interwebs i found someone else besides two steps from hell that produces music i can play dragons dogma to... yeah see what i did there? i put you almost on par with two steps from hell... tho in doing so i prolly committed some kind of mortal sin but oh well you deserve it for this piece... see yah in hell
Haha, no way I'm close to Tsfh xD Thanks for the compliment though, much appreciated ;)

think of the song like this a small town with farmers in like china and the begining is happy and all is well and when the drums set is a dark cloud have come to their town. in this case a dragon. and when it picks up again think of a hero rising and battling the dragon. and when it calms down again think of the hero standing by the dead dragon. and the towns people chering his name and all is beetter in the town once again.
thats what i thought of when i heard this song it amazing and is one of the best ive heard in a while.
