Mysterious, beautifully mastered
Hey Decibel,
--Production--
The sound is crisp and clean, stellar. The hi hats are highly present, yet never drowning out the entire piece. However, the intro can be seen to be empty, since the bass is so sparse. Very tender and beautiful composition.
--Experience--
The grease has been sprayed on this joint, so lubrication is no problem. This beat flows with ease, with a rockin' bassline and funky smoky vibes. Little staccato brass tip-toes in the background, lending to a theme for a spy, or espionage.
--Style--
Jazzy until the kingdom comes. I would classify it as a loop rather than a song, and a short one at that. It also loops very well and flows along without stopping. I would, however, have implemented more phases of the song than just two: one with drums and one without.
--Wow Factor--
It certainly is professional and that brings about amazement. The sounds are clear and crisp, the production showing the many signs of effort. I also didn't realise that mixing and mastering should go on for about 2 hours. I do mine in about 2 minutes, so that's probably why my songs sound very amateur.
--Personal Tilt--
I liked the professional and jazzy quality that this greasy, smoky beat conveyed. It told a tale, a tale of espionage, spying, and mystery. A beat like this needs more than just two phases, however, to keep it motivating and interesting. Good composition. Thanks for letting me listen.
