First things first, I'd like to thank Pure-Metal-UTA for recording his guitars for me. Before I was using guitar VST's which weren't nearly as effective as Pure-Metal-UTA's guitars. Also thanks to him for providing his criticism, and inventing his own guitar part at the end after the solo and helping me end the song instead of loop it.

Right then, here's a Chaoz Fantasy remix I've had in my head for weeks. I've worked very hard on this and I think it came out quite nicely. Oh, and for all of you who have never heard of ParagonX9 (I doubt that :P) here's the original song which I remixed:
http://www.newgrounds.com /audio/listen/85046

I think the melody in it is genius and I couldn't help remixing it. This is a mixture between rock and orchestral.
Here are the rock influences:
Rock drums throughout the whole track.
A guitar, obviously.
A piano (I know the piano falls under Orchestral too but it fits more as a rock influence rather than an orchestral influence in this case IMO)

And here are the orchestral influences:
Brass.
Strings: Cello and Staccato Violins.
Orchestral drums in the guitar solo.

This uses East/West Symphonic Orchestra for all the orchestral influences and for the piano and Stormdrum for all of the percussion including the reverse cymbal. I'd like to apologize for the terrible drums. I suck badly at making fast drums and do so much better with slower drums.

Anyhow, enjoy the song, I'd really love some reviews on this!

By the way, thanks to Decibel, GronmonSE, Echo and Blackhole12 for giving me so much criticism, and again to Echo for helping me figure out the notes in the guitar solo (yeah I suck at music).

Thanks for listening!

As much as I love originals, this is the best remix yet. Keep it up. I just have one question before I kill this review: Since I'm in the process of making a game, may I use this in it?

Step responds:

Ah man, so sorry for not seeing this review. There's no way to check for new reviews right now... so I only saw this review by coincidence.

Sure you can use it in your game. Glad you liked it!

Awesome.

I really love it, But nothing beats originals. In all the remixes I have heard, You got the best, that is a point. Chaoz fantasy Really marked the story of newgrounds. Am I right?

Continue your awesomeness, Buddy.

Step responds:

Thanks dude. Chaoz Fantasy's definitely one of the most, if not the most, popular song on Newgrounds, but it still has among the best melodies I've heard on NG.

I'm really happy you like this, and thanks for reviewing!

Good and flows

This is actually quite nice, to be honest you don't sound like you suck at music at all, if that's an actual guitar you're playing then nice!!

Guitar: Sounds excellent especially the solo as well, very good job there.

Drums: Sound good for the backbone of the song as drums always tend to do.

Keyboard: Sounds nice and repetitive for a beat, good going there.

Cello: Sounds peaceful.

Overall: Very nice job on this, you aren't that bad.

Step responds:

Thanks! I didn't play the guitar, Pure-Metal-UTA did, and I agree with you that he did a great job on it!

Anyway, thanks again for the nice review, I'm glad you liked the song!

Not bad

I hate to be a wet blanket, but I didn't really like the original tune. The melody just isn't really something I ever got into, but honestly I like this one better. Pure-Metal is a good guy and he did a great job with the guitar work, as I would have expected. The cover parts you did sound great, and a lot like the melody, just in your own style. I've tried to do cover songs in the past and I know it's not easy, so props on that.

Not much else to say really, like I said this tune was never really my cup of tea, but you did a fantastic job recreating it and putting your own spin on it. It looks like your effort really paid off. The mixing seems right on, and the guitar doesn't overpower the main melody. Good work with this, keep it up.

Thanks for the review, gotta love RRC reviews :3.

"I hate to be a wet blanket, but I didn't really like the original tune."

Haha, never knew people who didn't like the Chaoz Fantasy tune even exist, TBH lol. Well, it's good to be different I guess :P.

"The melody just isn't really something I ever got into, but honestly I like this one better."

I'm really glad you like it. I don't think it's as good as the original (or at least mixing-wise and percussion-wise it sure isn't) but I'll take it as a compliment.

"Pure-Metal is a good guy and he did a great job with the guitar work, as I would have expected."

Agreed.

"The cover parts you did sound great, and a lot like the melody, just in your own style. I've tried to do cover songs in the past and I know it's not easy, so props on that."

Thanks. I enjoy doing remixes and covers now and again. They help me when I'm in the dreaded writer's block.

Thank you, I'm glad it did!

With pleasure :3.

Thanks for the great review, I owe you one!

Holy friggen crap...

I never thought this would be able to be turned into an orchestral/rock song, but you certainly proved me wrong! It came out REALLY well, I must say!

Step responds:

Yeah, this is basically my style of music. Mixing orchestral with rock is definitely what I enjoy doing most.

Thanks for the review; again, I owe you one for all these reviews!
