Soon after recording Black Sunset I started to look into the elements of classical music, choral music, and "power/symphonic" metal. After falling in love with a few particular artists such as Mozart, Bach, and Finnish metal celebrities such as Sonata Arctica and Nightwish, I became enthralled in the musical elements of the genre. This song is a very specific example of the mix I exposed myself to. It was my first attempt at creating a choral ensemble accompanied by string ensembles along with acoustic guitars. The particular challenge to this song was the ending, because I never intended the ending to turn out the way it did. When lost for inspiration, the heavy power metal ensemble you hear towards the end of the song is what finally clicked after about two weeks of mental block and exposing myself to the genre in itself.
