This is a song very near to my heart. It's a song I wrote when my grandfather died back in November. I miss him every day, but I am glad that he is finally at rest and no longer either in extreme agony, or so out of it on painkillers.
This is my call to the world to remember everyone they've lost.
This one's for you Pap Paw.
Lyrics:
I saw you in your worst hour
I sat there beside you for days and cried
Light cascading over final desire
Hearing that voice say 'its your time'
Soar On Home
The Pain is at its end
Loved by your own
but not forgotten
Here we stand
to see you through
To the other side
Is where we'll see you
Don't hold on to this broken life
Riddled with suffering, it's alright.
Take his hand as you took mine.
And take mine again when it's my time
I will miss you
Everyday
Soar On Home
The Pain is at its end
Loved by your own
but not forgotten
Here we stand
to see you through
To the other side
Is where we'll see you
I will see you
some day soon
