Well, hello Newgrounds. I have a new song coming your way. I figured that since i havent submitted in a while, i'd give you a little demo of a song i'm working on. Project Vio started a long while back, maybe a month, when i first really started exploring into some of the plugins and soundfonts i had.

Now, i realize the song does not loop perfectly, but i decided not to do anythi8ng about that, only because it's just a demo. Hopefully, people might enjoy this.

The song changes keys from "B" to "A Flat." Please, rate and review!

By the way, i'd like to know what everyone thinks about the volume changes towards the end.

Interesting

Nice, interesting, and creative

Cons:
The synth that starts at 0:41 sounded like it started a little too loud and would've sounded better if it faded in (only for about half a second)
The strings sounded a little bare - maybe more reverb or more variety in the velocities, or a timbre (I think that's what it's called xD)
As i listen to the strings now it goes well with the feel of the song.
Snare on the drum sounded a bit dry at first but it grew on me^^

Pros:
Unlike mjattie I thought the slow start made the song even more ambient and epic. The synths were all executed perfectly! very creative in the style and the ambience is beautiful to listen to while watching the clouds go by, I know - weird combination xD
the part at 2:48 is awesome, but the volume cut-outs stopped it from being it's best ^^
Very catchy strings, even when I pause the song I still hear that tune :)

5/5
9/10
Nice song, really can't wait for the finished version :)

(Sorry if I was offensive in any way, I'm just trying my hardest to give a "Long, and helpful" review)
[oh, and a review in return would be nice^^ but please don't feel obliged.]

Kaizerwolf responds:

Thanks very much! It was very helpful! :)

The reason im not uploading a full version of this song is because it's going to hopefully be on an album. Dont worry, the volume cuts are taken out. Most of the things you stated as cons have been tweaked a little bit more.

Thanks for taking the time to write a good review sir!

wow

I don't really like the slow start of this song, but the voice cuts are awesome!!! Sounds very smooth. You should really listen to what BT (Brian Transeau). He's the most awesome ambient artist I know. This is one of my favourite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uNEQ3 nsFbE&feature=related

but this one is also very good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-duqs CFXxc

Good luck with your ambient. 5/5, 10/10

This Is Cool...

I've listened to it about 5 times through now. And I really like how smooth the atmosphere is. It is so warm and full, and just glides along wonderfully. This is especially true in the beginning.

Now, I do not like the effect that comes in at 2:48. I like the effect itself, just not on the whole song. On a single instrument it would be cool. But it just ruins the mood when it cuts out the entire song like that.

The percussion is pretty decent. Nothing to complain about there.

Overall, I like this a lot. I can't wait for the final version.

4/5 and 8/10 overall

Yeah, the volume cut-outs on the entire mix were just a little test.

Thanks for the review! :)
