Wow you are diverse! This is fantastic, I love the expression it's just great, that and the non-static tempo just add so much emotion to it. I'm not 100% on the strings but they're definitely not bad, just not neccesary when you have such a nice sounding piano.

Author's Response:

hey I could if I'd had those, but I haven't...

I can give you the chords though...

intro: c maj - d# maj

in the "bridge:

g min. - f maj - d# maj.

I can also give you the MIDI file only the MIDI file wouldn't work because it's not played in exact tempo.

"Awesome!"

This was just great - This is the kind of stuff I try to write but just can't. For some reason, I just can't seem to get my music to feel as full and rich as you do. Also, it's cool that you did this with reason, which is the same program I use (And yet, even after four years of use, I still don't understand all of the things it does. XP). It seems like most people use FL here on newgrounds, which is a bit annyoying if I want to know how they did something. I wouldn't mind seeing if I could learn anything from you, tho ;) .

As a side note, I'm currently in the process of making a flash game (rpg style), and I wanted to ask if I could potentially use this song in one of the cutscenes (I'm not sure if I can actually put that scene in yet, but I want to). It would be great if you'd let me do that. After all, good music would probably partially make up for my apparent lack of true artistic skill XP . (ok, ok, I'm not THAT bad, but I'm no picasso lol)

Overall, an excellent piece, definitely worth the listen.
10/10, every time.

Author's Response:

whow thanks.

I think FL is easier to use but reason is more professional. I always encourage people to add their songs to their flashsubmissions, so go ahead! :) even if it isn't THAT good.

And I'm definitely want to help you ;) since I search reason users also XD I use reason for only 1 year now and I don't know very much about it...

Btw I do know much about chords and composing, because I used a simple MIDI program two years before I got reason (cakewalk pro audio 9).

Thanks, and I'm glad you like(d) it. Mjattie

"Something worth it"

In general, anyone who does not create mindless-trance-beat-music deserves a medal and a lifetime supply of pancakes.

That doesn't always mean they're better - obviously - but this one stands out as one of the Flares of Hope in this dark sea of Newgrounds Audio Portal.

I wish people would at least try to do pure and simple music like this piece.

Thanks for showing there is order in this madness.

Author's Response:

haha, thanks.

About the mindless music called trance, I do like it :P (but Off course not most of the CRAPPY trance/dance/techno which is posted a lot here XD)

stunning me again. i love your style. (it's not what i would call a waltz). i love the synchopation. usually i dont like a single nte as a pedal tone, but it worked out very well in this case. Love the string part you put in, and what program do you use, cause the piano sounds brilliant. You should def. continue this piece and submit it to the mac09 competition. I'd be rooting for ya. This piece is one of my favs. I'd love to work with ya sometime maybe on a collaboration. 10/10 5/5

Author's Response:

hey, the pianosamples are from reason piano's (it's an expansion from reason). So yea, I use reason... I'm glad you like my style :) and I definitely want to do a collab with you.

Gr Mjattie, and thanks!
