This is pretty awesome.

It is pretty mellow, just like you say. Great background music, but also okay to just listen to.
But yea that was pretty cool. The percussion was interesting, as in sortof strange. But that's okay. It worked. Meager melodies also worked.
It all worked. Good job.

Tons of potential

I like the sound alot, very nice, all the parts you brought in were good, so i'll go right to how I think it could be improved. I still think the beginning with the main lead could be mastered tighter, I think it sticks out from the main body of the song too much. I would suggest either turning it down, or turning other parts up to make it more part of the song instead of on top of it. I would also heavily suggest going in to that main lead and individually panning the notes a little to either side to give it a more professional 3d feel. The break and the part right after the break is really good, I think it's pretty much perfect. I think the gating at the end it a lttle too heavy handed, I would try incomplete gating or another effect/reorganization instead, I dont think It really fits with the flowing sound of the song. Remove the stupid backspin at the end, make your own effect if you need one.

The thing you should do is go through the beginning and make sure one instrument/lead/pattern is never always at the forefront of the listeners attention, it should always be multiple sounds interwoven together so it is difficult to concentrate on any one. This shouldn't be too hard to do with what you have so far.

I saw your comment on that other persons video with a link here, so yeah..it would make great background music of a game, or a movie of some sort..pretty relaxing.

it came in 'kinda slow though, eliminating any loop format :(

Dude you could have made this song realy good . i think its still good but i think you should go back and mess around with it more or you should try learning some more things then go back and remaster it but its a realy cool soundsing song .. realy better then my shit.
