I have been struggling to compose a sad song for several days. With the theme of the current MAC being Sorrowed Tears, I had to come up with something fitting. Yet I've had no inspiration. I began to write one song, but I could not find a way to get past the intro. I had given up any hope, and simply submitted an old work.

Tonight, however, I was stricken with sudden inspiration. I began to ponder my life, my decisions, etc. Shortly thereafter, I also watched part of Spider Man 3. Without spoiling the movie, a certain sad point in the story was accompanied by some mournful music, and it gave me shivers. I HAD to write a song. I ran upstairs to the computer and got to work. 45 minutes later, this is the result.

This song does not represent simple sadness, nor regret, nor bitterness. I does not represent the death of a loved one or the emotions that such brings. What this song represents is guilt and true sorrow. It is the feeling you get when you realized that you hurt the person you loved most; that you made a huge mistake and now have to bear to burden of your actions. It represents the consequences of your greatest sins. It represents true remorse for your actions.

I truly hope you feel the sheer emotion of this song. It came from my heart, and expresses better than any words what I have felt recently.

Tearful Indeed

What an amazing song. I can certainly tell you put your soul into it.
An image definately popped into my head with this one. A man, walking alone on a path. The forest he walks through is not that of trees, but of buildings. He is looking at the world around him as he walks, a solemn xpression on his face. He sees children playing, couples holding hands, a women feeding the birds. Such happiness has left him. He walks on. The sun starts to set. The sorrow that grips him is not a simple sadness, that fades with a smile. Rather, an intricate web of emotion, that has left him where he is today. As he watches the sunset, the scene fades.
Inspiration often strikes unexpectedly, I know it has for me, I wish it would grace me with a song like this. This is a truly amazing piece of work that encompasses sorrow in a way I don't think I've heard before. Your pieces are some of my favorite, and this one didn't dissapoint. Keep up the good work.

I love the imagery you've set up. It is very poetic. Your short story here has inspired me, and for that I thank you.

I've found that if you always wait for inspiration to come, you'll end up with very little musical output. Sometimes, you've just got to say, "I don't care how I feel, I'm going to compose!" The song may end up sounded terrible, but you'll at least gain a bit more experience. If you force yourself to get started, inspiration will often present itself oddly enough. You've just got to stick with it and keep the music coming!

Thank you for the review sir. :)

Thank you!

Trevor, I found this completely by chance and I am so happy that I did. It touches the heart in ways that only music can do. Very well done! Your music helps me to express feelings that can't be spoken in words. Thank you.

a story... of two...

This song gets to me... I feel the emotion, which is in every bit sorrowful...
heres what i think of when i listen to it

a bond between two... separated, by unforeseen fates... one day, they finally see each other again, but this is the last time they will see each other... as on this day, one is destined to die, both cannot exist together... only one can truly be... The girl lives... but the one she's loved for such a long time dies...... in the time they had together, these two cherished every moment of their time, nobody could love as these two could... their love was virtually unbreakable... but time is cruel... to be loved with such a passion, but to be broken apart so easily... in memory, their love lives on...
any two who feel this love have a strong bond... this bond, they must never let go of...

this song is beautiful in the same way its sorrowful... this is perfection of an emotion to say the least... :)
