NOt very sad but a good song.
The song isnt sad at all so it doesnt fit very well in the Mac 08 contest. I liked the vocals though and the instruments sounded great. Keep it up! :)

i wrote this song about 10 years ago, i was in a very unhappy relationship with an abusive girlfriend and i was ready to draw a warm bath and cut to the bone. so i was telling my friends they could have all my stuff cause i wouldn't need it where i was going. its a suicide note really.
anything you want is yours for the taking, i won't be needing it when i get where i'm going
and if you say you have to leave before i get there, see if i care, it's probably better off that way.

I definitely get the feeling of going to sleep, like nothing matters...
Like : Composition / Voice FX / Vocal Performance
Dont like: Guitar FX (metal tube?) / Mixing (voice is muddy)
You've achieved the mood you intended, although the execution leaves still more to be desired. With some tweaking this acutally could be a really great song. Keep it up!

yeah, i recorded this about 6 years ago actually. my recording techniques are a lot more polished when i want them to be now. the guitar f/x you dont like is a really metal flanger, i don't like it much either, but i have been too busy with new music to go back and rerecord all my old stuff...forward thinking you know..
