An orchestral rendition of several songs from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Even Super Castlevania 4 is quoted once here.

This song is going to be on a compilation album celebrating GameMusic4All's 2nd Anniversary. There are other kickass musicians on it, so stay tuned. Video game and video game-inspired music abound.

I spent WAAAY too much time on this. It's an epic. If you're familiar with SOTN's varied and excellent soundtrack, you should like it. I wanted to quote even more SOTN themes in there, but it was just taking too long and the due date hit.

ENJOY!

Castlevania tracks that are quoted here include:

Prayer
Dracula's Castle
The Cave (from Super Castlevania 4)
Prologue
The Tragic Prince
Moonlight Nocturne

Note: THIS TRACK WILL ONLY BE UP TEMPORARILY! If it gets a lot of listens, I will be forced to delete it before it's out of my control! (6000+ listens makes you unable to edit/delete a song)

This has got to be the best audio track in all of newgrounds. I have spent a lot of time on newgrounds audio portal cause most of the artists/ composers could use a little constructive criticism. Your masterpiece here has no equivalent to anything I have heard on newgrounds before. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and please never stop. One possibly helpful comment I would like to add, If you do choose to continue another outstanding medley of Castlevania, I would suggest Lament of Innocence' OST for inspiration. Hope this review finds you well and helps you in any way.

"The way you fit all these songs together."

you just made my day, the ambientness of prayer leads perfectly into draculas castle, and the piano solo version was spot on. The cave really caught me off gaurd, in a way i liked, since it seemed like the music was going to up the tempo. then the prolouge really brought the beginning of the song for me. like, here i am entering draculas castle... and the tragic prince gave you the epic feel of alucards battle! then the moonlight nocturne just slowed down the energy into a great ending. Your music is amazing, Your phrasing is spectacular. and your choice of songs is amazing. one last thing.

What is man? nothing but a miserable pile of secrets...! but enough talk, Have at you!

Best game ever.

What is a review? Nothing but a wonderful pile of insights....
haha thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed.
(It's a shame the PSP re-release got new translations/voice acting. I have a connection to the cheesy style of the original)

This has a completely different style than Michiru Yamane's original score, yet somehow remains true to the atmosphere and style. The epic rendition of "Prayer" grabbed my attention straight away, and the piano solo rendition of "Dracula's Castle" was great (I also like how neatly it segued into "The Cave." The violins playing "Prologue" was very interesting as well, I never imagined that anything could replace those flanged guitars. I also loved your rendition of "The Tragic Prince, it sounded very Danny Elfman-esque, as if it was from a Tim Burton movie.

I can think of no way this could be improved, except maybe adding a bit more of the cathedral organ (unless you don't want to take the stereotypical approach to music about vampires, that is).
