Author Comments

OK, i'm reposting my DN cover, but it will be the last time. I guess i'm getting into DNF mode (constant changes of release etc). Anyway, I made some changes and I added intro/outro parts.

BECAUSE I was getting some strange comments: A)This is a cover, it's not supposed to be an exact reproduction of the theme, B) as for the orchestral parts, I was inspired by the new symphonic soundtrack that the alleged game is gonna have, C) if you gonna review, be constructive not like, eck, iou, blech etc. D) please review and rate fairly (especially if you're not into metal/rock)!

Let's ROCK...

below is my original commentary:

"My cover for Duke Nukem's main theme. It's not a remix, I played all the guitar and bass and wrote the strings, piano etc midi parts. The lead parts aren't very accurate, as they are played by memory. And the solo is one-take improvisation. All the recording was done in a 3-hour period. Enjoy and rate/review.

Thanks! Peace!

If you gonna rate below 3, please leave a review with your comments. If you vote zero without a reason you are an inspiration for birth control!

Thanks again."

Nice mix. Not only can you dance to it, you can kick ass and chew bubble gum to it. No where did I put that gum? Love it.

"This is k-t-i-t, KTIT. Bringing you the breast"

date: June 2, 2009

The beginning of the song quoting from Duke Nukem: "This is k-t-i-t, KTIT. Bringing you the breast, I mean best tunes in town." was a nice touch plus the nostalgia factor of having many of duke nukem's many one liners.

"Eighty Percent Awesome"

date: April 19, 2009

I really like the majority of this song. It's a faithful cover, and I can hear the old parts that I loved. That said, I took two points off for the lack of command in your guitar solo. I think you needed to quiet the drums a little and up the volume of your solo. If this was being played live, you'd rock the f*** out on the guitar and take 100% of the listener's attention. Here, I almost hear the drums more than the solo.

It's freaking Duke Nukem. Restraint is for sissies. You've done good, but with a little work you could get perfection.
