This is a piece I decided to make while trying to create some very cool and darkish sounds (as you can hear the first note) and also to experiment with delayed drums (that's so Enter Shikari style...yeah), with some LoZ:TP sounds creating mystery and darkening the whole composition...all made in Reason...enjoy it

it's not a thing u can learn going somewhere... you should try to listen a lot to this kind of music and then the main thing u hv to do is to practice with the instruments u have... actually I use Reason to do songs like this, but there are many dj workstations like KORG's EMX that are perfect for this music style...

the end when it changed tones though was bad u should of kept it to the same beat but still very good sounds kool :]

Reminds me of...

Metroid Prime! That's the one. M'yes, I just gotta ask. When you where making this were you perhaps inspired by the music from Metroid Prime? Or just Metroid in general. It so sounded like it could be taken straight out from one of the games. (ofcourse I know it ain't from there, duh) but still. Well, apart from the guitar part which, just like FattyoPatty said might have more to be given. Has potential in short, just like FattyoPatty said.
You really managed to set that darkish, mysterious and in a way gloomy mood. One thing that I did not fully appreciate was the ending. the one with different drums. Well... I did find that SPOING thingie humourous, and I guess it added som myserious effect aswell, but still. I would it if you could have another look over this piece and try to find some weakspots that needs to be removed, changed or whatsoever. I'm no music genious, but I enjoy listening to whatever music piece I appreciate and which doesn't give me a headache.
-This piece did not give me a headache, and I appreciate it a lot. Still, give it another look over and perhaps re-release a newer version!

thaaaaanks finally a very exhaustive (in a good way) review on this piece...this is just experimental...now that u make me think bout it, this could really be used in some metroid game aswell! lol i never noticed this before, thank you...however i was inspired by Zelda Twilight Princess and some Enter Shikari (not that much, xcept for the really heavy drum riff), also there are things that cannot connect to zelda neither to shikari...actually is some state of mind i had in my head, try to listen to this with headphones many many times, you'll go crazy :P!

Sweet

Nice drum pattern transition and some definitely brooding effects. I understand the mood you were going for, but it really feels like the song developed itself when it hit the guitar part. The dark, industrial stuff could have been a nice, accenting introduction into a fuller song. I really think you should think about expanding on that guitar part. You have good beginning and ending segments, but the middle has more potential that you could be tapping into. Keep up the good work, and I would love it if you looked at some of my stuff as well.
