The beginning was pretty nice, after that it started to kick up too. I would say though, that the beats creating the whole pattern for the song would be louder. It's great though.
You do have that genre idea right, I can't really think of a good genre to suit this most.

Thanks a lot! I tried my hardest to make this epic, using as many things as I knew how to write with. Fortunately, i can play 13 different instruments at some sort of mediocre level so writing with a lot of instruments comes pretty easily :)

Hah. making a new genre category was a joke, since a friend and I were arguing over what style it fits into since it's not really metal, or rock, or classical, or anything in particular, but it has too many influences to be misc. But thanks, I put a lot of time into this one :)
