"Very mysterious!"

date: April 24, 2008

Good job! This song was haunting, yet almost like walking through a silent heaven. You can take the emotions many different ways! A Duck Life should probably get blammed. It gives the song a bad reputation, to use it in a screamer.

It's too good for that!

The heavy bass and snaps gave it sort of hip-hop bounce, which is excellent to hear when blended with other electronic sounds. Jungle drums and quiet melodies give it a isolated feeling. This is a powerful piece!

Thanks! I'm sure the duck flash will be deleted one of these days. I doubt too many people have seen it, so I'm not too worried about the song getting a bad rep. In fact, I bet a few people went "GAH! I HATE THIS, THIS WAS AWFUL!! ooh, but I liked the song. Let's go listen to the whole thing.."

"Smooth"

date: February 12, 2008

I enjoy listen to this, it's so smooth and relaxing.
Have to admit, the beginning got some X-FILE feeling to it :)

5/5

Author's Response:

My mom owns every X-Files episode ever made... and the movie, lol, so I've seen quite a bit. I grew up watching it and now recently my girlfriend has gotten into the show so I've been watching it more, haha. I think this is more upbeat than X-Files though. As of writing this, this is still my favorite song that I've made. Thanks for the review!

Author's Response:

Haha, I'm the screamer guy! Friggin zombie woman..

I'm surprised A Duck Life didn't get blammed... I guess it slipped by when people weren't watching. Thanks for the review!

"Nice"

date: December 23, 2007

Seeing that you responded to those last 2 reviews just had to make me right one. :D (Actually, i'm just looking to laugh, your funny :D) This is a song. I like how it has the beat people snapping their fingers... I still dont see how it has anything to do with butterflys, but its still a good song. And all of those random songs added to the song is just mixed in just in the right way. I couldnt even get half as good as you in and a million and 23 years! Your ambient songs are great, keep up the good work. 5/5 10/10 Awesome song.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I respond to every review... I think it encourages more people to write them. I'm glad to see that theory proves true :D

Geez, what DOESN'T this song have to do with butterflies?? All kidding aside, I think the floaty ambient nature of this one helps justify the title... that's what I tell myself anyway. This is actually one of my better song titles as of late.

Check back with me in 1,000,023 years to inform me of your musical progress!

Author's Response:

Haha, I'm glad you survived the song to write this review! There's not much to say in response to this review (other than THANKS!) so I'll just give you a factoid about the song. For all of my songs, I give them a stupid title so I'll be able to recognize the song file. This one was codenamed "Delay" because in the beginning, every sound is run through a different delay filter. I came up with "November Butterfly" when I saw a butterfly flying over the highway near my college in late October. This song is about that butterfly fighting it out through November. The song is still titled "Delay" on my computer.. I'm so disorganized..
