So here's my final render for my Production Modeling class. I think this is the 1st full character model I've ever done. The model was created 100% in zbrush 4R7 and was rendered using mental ray inside of maya 2016.
The Hi-res version is somewhere around 75 million polygons made of 43 parts, which is extremely high. It was way lower before I attempted to add alphas to the model.
The Low-res model about 95K polygons (would be lower if I did it by hand but I was short on time and used zremesher)
Each piece is UVed and has both a normal and displacement map on them.
All in all I think this turned out pretty good. I'm haven't got a grade back for it yet, but I'm hoping for atleast a high B, if not better.
