This is a concept art to prepare for next semester 3D film creation. It will be a short film, but the story was actually for a game I wish I'll build myself one day. Already some good experience with Unity3D game engine, so it is very possible. The story around this illustration is a bit big (and still in many way unclear) but to make it short:

In a distant future, the insects are now a dominant influence over the earth, after beeing genetically transformed by the immense amount of pollutant human created over the centuries. Human cities are now mobile in huge glass domes, camouflaged in insect carapaces. They struggle to survive while travelling between the extreme heats and insect attacks.

The tower is a huge insect nest, but I didn't had time to put the insects in pursuit of the city (neither the character, farming some plants on top of one rock) in the illustration. The fault in the desert is supposed to be the consequence of having insects that dig the ground to find water and minerals, cracking huge part of the earth crust.

If you think this reminds you of nausicaa of the valley of the wind in some way (story wise), well, you are right.. ^_^

I know it has many flaws and I didn't have enough time to finish it, but any constructive critism is always welcomed!

thanks for watching

Eerie

I like the shading on the clouds, but somehow it seems claustrophobic... if that makes any sense.

DarkSword responds:

I think I can understand, it does make some sense. I think it has something to do with the perspective beeing a bit too exploded on the vertical.. I wanted to model a quick frame in 3D to get more solid perspective but didn't.. = p (too lazy!)

thanks for your comment : )

Halo 3

That is all.

DarkSword responds:

eh, sorry but no. I tried to see some link, but there isn't any!
