Julie is Nicole's mother. Back in her younger years, she used to work as a waitress in a hotel restaurant on lunch shifts. She met Steve, a then IT apprentice in 1982 and they happily married 9 years later. Nowadays she's the head of the Stourbridge household with two full-time jobs, doing most of the chores and ensuring Nicole is raised well, the latter of which she shares with her husband. Julie is a nice, understanding, supportive woman who cares greatly for her teenage daughter, though she can be very firm with her at times.
