LOL That's pretty funny!
The upcoming film IF is one I'm pretty psyched about seeing this year. I've seen a trailer for it on a couple of cinema trips. Not to be confused with the horror film Imaginary, it's about imaginary friends (or "IFs" for short) coexisting with people as if they were real living beings. It is directed, written and produced by John Krasinski, who you might know best as Jim Halpert from the US version of The Office. The premise reminds me of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and it's probably the closest we'll get to a live-action film of that show. Hell, the main IF is even named Blue, albeit spelt properly.
Despite his name, Blue is actually purple. He looks like a furry Grimace with a lighter shade of purple, green eyes, crooked teeth and what appear to be ear tufts and a messy hairstyle on top of his head. Oh, and he's voiced by Steve Carell.
In anticipation of IF, I drew this fanart of Blue meeting Bloo (you know, the one from Foster's) and wondered how the little blue super-easy-to-draw ghost thing would notice the friendly purple beast's name not matching his color. Given Bloo is like a spoiled child who thinks he's so much better than everyone else, I'm sure he'd rip on him for it.
