Smartteaser129 couldn't have put it nicer, it's very symbolic but doesn't quite register with me, the topic of death was never something I feared so I'm not really impacted by this.

I agree with you about Smartteaser and too be honest it was a new experience to me at the time so I think the weight of it isn't there, which I think Smartteaser understands more in depth than I did at the time. It hits everyone at different points. This painting was made over ten years ago when I was first hit by introspection. I think I was at the ripe age of 20.

The skeleton symbolizes yourself on the doorway to the other dimension while spirits come by and witness your transition. You hide in fear of what would come. Your painting is dark yet powerful. It reminds me of the mortality of mankind.

Wow. Your statement is more powerful :). Thanks! Its been forever since you wrote this but I just saw it. I really appreciate the insight. This was made about ten years ago now as crazy as that is to me. It is my first attempts of trying to understand my new feelings of introspection. My world was changing and I'm a caveman scribbling on the walls.
