Glass study. My eyes started hurting after a while because it gets confusing when differentiating highlights from shadows in glass... @_@;

my two bits

Just to repeat the other reviewers, the tones could be more emphatic and there's a very-very slight problem with symmetry.

Other than that, I would add some background, a few lines and shades behind + a drop-shadow to make it more like 3D. :)

Etheria responds:

ehh i like the un-symmetrical quality of it - it gives the art that hand-drawn feeling that I feel is missing from modern art. hmm... a shadow is an interesting idea, will consider~~

Nice attention to intricate detail!

This is something that not many others would do; focus a huge amount of brain matter on a single object to learn how reacts with its environment in art. Great job. The only nit-picking that I can think of is that the rim has a slightly odd and uneven shape to it. Oh, and I'd love to see what it would look like half filled wither water, but don't lose sleep over it. Now go try a glass figurine...joking.

Etheria responds:

Well I decided to do this because I wanted to challenge myself - you know, push the envelope a bit to see what I'm really capable of. A glass filled with water sounds intriguing... XD

Well done for a glass study

Kick your contrast up more, gets some pure whites in there and really push the blacks and it will look much more like glass.

Etheria responds:

yeahh I need to overcome my fear of going darker with shading, haha~

wow!

*speachless*

Not perfect

But not horrible. Work on that symmetry.

Etheria responds:

yeahh I know... working from life is much different than working from picture references ;_;
