Author's Response:
ha ha cool i am glad i have inspired you to draw matey keep it up! you can only get better
the thing i like about drawings (especially yours) is that they are simple and not congested with many unwanted lines and stripes. yours are significant, highly detailed and cool.
Author's Response:
hey thanks that great to hear
Very nice detail! I give it an über!
Author's Response:
thanks for the über review
Ima edit it up a bit since teh license says i can modify it :P
Also, recommend me for art portal so they can see my AWESOMELY BAD ART!!!
Author's Response:
i might do that. first i will have to check you stuff
I've done some drawings of futuristic / realistic soldiers myself and my attention was immediately drawn when I came across your picture.
The parts I most liked:
- Crouching stance
- Helmet details
- Assault rifle / carbine
In these type of drawings the soldiers gear is very important I believe. The equipment he's carrying makes a lot of the details and the difficult part is that the gear has to believable. It has to look useful.
Some suggestions:
- A sling for the rifle
- Magazine pouch (just google images 'magazine pouch' and you'll know what I mean)
Author's Response:
thanks man thats some useful shit.
although i am not going to go to far into the whole military theme stuff yet.
Wow dude this is really cool, but I can't tell whether he just has a bad posture or is crouching
Author's Response:
he is crouching a little bit, stealthily scouting ahead. thanks for the review
look like watercolor or waterink, nice job , you got the light/shadow right, my only itch is the lack of background, even deserts have dunes , and naah...you got the hands right, theyre such a pain in the ass to draw anyway, im bad at drawing hands, i never get em right
Author's Response:
yea its water colours.
yea i donno really i can't see the hands being small but its their opinion so its fair comment.
yea i agree about the background i should start drawing backgrounds more often but i am more of a character designer. thanks for the review
and keep practicing at hands, after a while it comes naturally.
awesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeawesome

awesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeawesome
Author's Response:
wow thanks.
Great peice of artwork from dommi keep on drawing man keep on drawing D<
Author's Response:
another great review from you! hey that rhymes!
I like this piece, partially due to my own military background, but also for the amount of detail put into it. From the armour to the pouches, to the wrinkles in the clothing it looks really good.
Author's Response:
wow thanks, i appreciate that especially from someone with a military background.
nice job but the arms and hands are a bit small....
Author's Response:
dammit the hands! its to late to change it now, oh well glad you like it anyway! thanks for the review.
The only thing I can see is wrong with the concept art is the arms and hands are a little small, other than that its pretty awesome. well done.
Author's Response:
i thought it was the legs that where out proportion but i am probably looking at it differently oh well a nine is good enough and you like it anyway, thanks for the honest review.
