An Ember: “a small live piece of coal, wood, etc, the smoldering remains of a fire.”
And Archives: "a place where records - or other historical documents are kept.”
When life takes a turn and things burn up in our relationships, families, or with friends, there still remains embers from them; they are a glow of a once present flame that carries on. Though the lights of the trivial may go dim, the fundamental memories always remain.. You may lose those close to you, but they never really leave; they become an ever-present ember in the archives.
