Good attempt at original style
First of all, full credit for you for using your own drawings that aren't stickmen. I recognised a lot of the moves from various fighting games, but that's not to say that's a bad thing. I haven't seen the first episode but there doesn't seem to be much of a storyline, although the bonus material was cool too. Use of sound was done quite well. I think it's cool but it feels as though it's missing something but I can't quite figure out what...
Its always missing something. I cant put my finger on it, though.
Alright....
The animation was a little bad, it could use some more frames so it looks like the figures are actually moving. But, it was good.
more frames....... Player 2s Royal Flush was close to 100 frames alone.
Absolute rip-off
This was OK... but its hard to appreciate something when you see blatant rip offs every 2 seconds. Anyone who knows guilty gear knows that the characters are traced. Its not that you're using the characters that bothers me, its the fact that you use the word 'inspired' rather than '100% copied'. I can see that you did a fair amount of work on this so that much is respected but overall, to someone who knows this game, this is embarrasssing to watch. make original artwork.
For someone who is probably the biggest GG fan, your review is an embarrassment just to read. AND its only 50% copied SO :P unless you saw that stage in GG-GGX-GGX+GGX2-GGX2#Reload-GGPetie1/2.
And I didn't know Gambit, Morrigan, and Rolento were in GG
Lack of originality
How many character ripoffs (oh sorry 'inspirations') was that? Gambit, morrigan (who somehow had some of Jam kurodaberi's animations), Chipp, and Ky kiske, Testament and venom to name some. I believe the concept would have been alot better had you not used already existing characters. Also the music you chose didnt suit this flash much. If you're going to do involved fight scenes at least animate them thoroughly. This flash wasnt worth losing sleep over, however perhaps next time you can spend more time on a flash in shorter intervals (3 hours a day maybe?) because its obvious -from your animations- that you were getting bored :P
and Rolento, Zato-1/Eddie, Dizzy, Sol Badguy, just to name a few others.
