Yeah, this sort of shit happens all the time to nuclear reactors. You've obviously done your homework. Good thing natural resources are unlimited, or we'd have to resort to this HAZARDOUS and INEFFICIENT form of energy. Uh oh...sarcasm...meter...going.. .off...scale!!!
The only fun about it is the lack of expertism.
First of all, there is no fire coming from the cooling towers. Second, if anything should hapen, it would never be in the cooling tower. The mushroom cloud proves that you are mistaking, since nuclear fuel is not capable of exploding like the Plutonium used in Nukes. If any accidents were to occur, it would be the uranium overheating, and cause a "meltdown" in the reactor, which could cause the reactor to melt through the cooling system, and further into the ground, poluting underground water supplies. If the water from the cooling system were to reach the centre of the reactor, it would cause a steam explotion, whirling radioactive dust into the atmosphere, but never such an explotion. The only problem about nuclear power is the waste, now try to compare it with the loss of fossil fuels...
