Reviews for "Trynna Bring HipHop Back"

Just great....

First thing I review in the music portal here and it's something as cool as this..... very well done. Keep on doing what you're doing, man.

call me outdated...

...but which hiphop you tryin' for? It's a lock on the more recent type of stuff, but your sound is leaving a whole lot out if you wanna talk about hiphop as a whole.

war-spawn responds:

I'm talking about back when Hip-Hop wasn't about materialistic things. Back when story telling within a lyrical flow was still considered music, back when rapping wasn't just about snapping your fingers. As far as mainstream goes, all hope is lost. But as for the underground, it's all that we have left in the true hip-hop life style.

not bad but not good

sounds like it sounds the same through the whole song u call that hip hop???!!!!

war-spawn responds:

Well, maybe if you were to get your head out of your ass, and see that I put it as "Hip-Hop - Modern Loop" you'd find out why it sounds the same. And as far as I'm concerned, everything I do is nothing but Hip-Hop. Learn bout it before you criticize.

its ight

It needs more transition tho. its just one big repetitive loop. Tho its kinda nice, It just dont have that Grab to it to make me want it. And being a beat maker myself, id have to say tho u did a good job, it seems u can do better.

war-spawn responds:

Oh snaps, I just read this now. A tad bit late, but hey... I understand where ya coming from. I'm just wondering why under the File Details part, it says Hip-Hop Loop. Beats me =\

Back in the woods.

I see what your trying to do, but hiphop is already alive.
Hiphop isn't about radio play, and it never was.
Kids will never say that hiphop is dead, unless you release a hiphop song about it, which will have them talking for a month before they go and pick up the next T.I album.

Most people don't want to hear storytelling, they want repetitive chorus about how big somebody's rims are, and how rich they are, so let them have it while we listen to real music.

If your trying to bring hiphop back by radio play, then your part of the cancer that is killing hiphop, because people trying to get radio play is what killed it.

As long as 1/1000 people still listen to actual RAP (Hiphop actually means like rap-pop music) Then its still alive, and to hell with radio play and whats popular, as long as you listin to what you like, whether it be repetitive chorus and not one rhyme, or the lyrical type stuff that your into, then its still alive.

war-spawn responds:

This is where you're wrong. Hip-hop is a culture. Rap is something we do. Hip-hop literally is dying out for the simple fact that it isn't what it used to be. Of course people want simplicity, because they cannot comprehend the art of real poetry with rhythm. Commercialism is what ruined the game. The ignorance within music turned urban areas more violent, significantly increasing the amount of uneducated people to roam the streets, also getting by with acts of crime, and basically becoming another unwanted statistic. Bringing hip-hop back to radio play is a good idea, but it's something that is far out of my reach. I understand that because I'm still way out of my league. All I can do is change the minds around me to enjoy hip-hop, and not see it as the bullshit that is on the radio. This is not as much as a cry for radio time, but a cry for this site. This site is where I can make a difference in what people think of hip-hop. I've already done it to plenty of people, and I will continue to keep doing so as long as I keep posting on this site. I will try my best to change the minds of the people who feel hip-hop is nothing but jewelery, money, women, and cars. Thank you for posting your opinion, but you have my intentions confused.
