nobuo uematsu is pretty awesome. pretty great remix, though i think the bass could've been a tad more prominent.

I liked that you held the beginning longer than it was supposed to be held. I always liked the beginning anyway. The bass should have been heavier and more prominent but overall this was very good.
IMO you should split this track
The intro is good as a standalone and you could definitely do something interesting with it (think The Oath from FFVIII). I find the main part doesn't gel with the slow intro at all and definitely needs more "oomph", it could do with being its own track. Throw away the dreadful soundfont that comes in at 0:57 and find something better as a replacement.
Giving this a 9 because it has potential.
