Well done
This one does well, and fits it's name. For a story...
A wicked king sits upon his throne, leaning lazily upon one side, his head supported by a fist. He is watching as the former lords of the land are brought before him, and beg for their lives. As each comes to him, a slow, cold, smile spreads across his features. His eyes become wild, his face a mask of insanity. The former High King takes his place in front of the throne, and gazes directly into those crazed eyes. "You may take our land, kill our people, and enslave us all, but we will continue to fight. We will forever oppose you, and hound you at every turn." The wicked ruler surges to his feet. "No! You will not! Your lands will burn, your people will die, your spirit will be broken! I will take your lands and crush them under my heel like the bugs they are, and tear a bloody swathe through your petty alliances! I will leave none untouched! It will all be mine!!" He holds his hand up and closes it into a fist. He then pulls the sword at his hip, and kills the king. The sun seems to dim, the light to fade. A new rule has come to the land , and none shall escape it's grasp. All will suffer, none will be spared.
That is what comes to me here.

such a dark and cruel story. One that befits the song quite well :D! Absolute rule, and absolute victory, this new king seems to know what he wants. Though all murderous tyrants will eventually destroy themselves through their own lust for power, we can only sit back and gleefully imagine of the first step he takes towards his own destruction.

A moving piece!
I say "moving" in the sense that it really strikes the nerves and gets you drumming your feet or your fingers as you listen to it. I actually got goosebumps as I listened to this; it sounded like tension building higher and higher with a sudden, well-placed 'pause' at 00:38. In Dark Cut 2, it fit the level it was placed in to a tee.
10/10, 5 in the Portal.

Dark Cut 2 was indeed quite a marvelous game, and though the song fit it well, we mustn't forget that it was the visuals that really brought out the songs power :D! At least in my opinion.
The tensive energy you feel was exactly what I was hoping to achieve. This track was originally made for a tribal boss fight for Castle Crashers. And of course, tense energy was an absolute must for it.

This song reminds me of World of Warcraft's soundtrack, especially the underlying horns.
I could think of many places for this song.
This game would go well in an action RPG or a movie, I'd bet. I loved it.
