Reviews for "Nemesis LQ"

That was awesome

That was probably the best Audio I've ever seen on Newgrounds. Gave it 5 stars!

ArcaneClock responds:

Thanks! However, I'm a little disheartened that this song made it on the all time top scoring list! :X
Someone needs to pay better attention to the Audio Portal, even though the songs are chosen by a bot! :(

ooh brilliant!

I like this piece! Its different from the rest of the techno I usually listen too :3
but I was just curious ... did you get the title from the Decepticon ship name "Nemisis"? At first it sounds like something that would fit the D-cons and with the "Lift off" voice, it makes it like a Star Ship. Just curious. ^^ Keep up the awesome music! I hereby put you as a favorite artist!!!

ArcaneClock responds:

Heh, glad you liked it! It is certainly different, I created only a week or so after I began making electronic music. It was my first submission to the NG audio portal, I'm rather relieved it wasn't 0 bombed instantly! :P As for the name, well, I simply got it from the word "Nemesis" itself, I felt the song had a industrial/grungy feeling and Nemesis just came to mind, as I'm not a huge Transformers fan (although the movie was pretty badass!) Thanks for the review!

woah

i am drunk at the moment but that tune really did kick ass

i use ableton and cubase and reason but i never considered using fruity loops at all but everyone at my part of the college uses it and their tracks are also pretty wicked soo good luck on your future projects

Yes...generic...

...but good like that. I like this, though, yes, it could be better. However, this definitely doesn't deserve to be shot down. :D

Too relaxed for me, but a good song

Good song, though I have a few remarks (if you wish just ignore them, it's just my opinion, don't feel offended ;-) )

The windy preset coming in at 0:20, I thought it was a bit too "sharp", I don't really know how to say it. How I would fix it, I would lower the "attack" of the instrument (don't really know wether that's possible with that preset), so it kinda fades in and out instead of just starting and changing notes (maybe using a reverb is a way to do this too, just suggesting)

The guitar around 1:07, I thought with the rather harsh synths it was to soft, but then after the vocals ("prepare for launch") and the softer synths/choir coming in
around 1:46, I thought it was a bit to sharp, too steel-acoustic-guitar like. Maybe make 2 guitars instead of one? I may sound a bit difficult here, but I'm just trying to explain what I would do.

The whole section between 2:13 and 2:32 is too boring, with the preset used at 2:13 it sounded like a new melodical part coming in and I felt dissapointed when I heared it just were the same synths staying. I would have left this section out or put a new intrument in I guess.

That's all I have to say. Maybe I sound a bit harsh. You did make a good song with rich drums. It was just to slow and relaxed for me.

I would advise you to change presets so it sounds better with the song you're making. Pimp up your tune! Maybe check out some of my stuff or PM me if you like.

Gave a 6 because you used too much patches/presets :-P Don't be lazy ;-)

Peace
