Do you use compressor on mixer?
Also how to make melody in this shake style?

I do use OTT on the instruments but I didn't put a compressor on the mixer.
For the melody, I'm pretty sure I based the notes on my chord progression. I also decided to either make the same notes twice or make them go up and down if that can help :)
